Kennedy Valve team participates in JDRF event

Kennedy Valve team members participated in a 5k event at Elmira College sponsored by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) on May 11 to raise funds for diabetes research. Proceeds from sneaker purchases by participants were donated directly to JDRF. Kennedy Valve team members purchased 145 pairs of sneakers! You have most likely heard of Type 1 Diabetes, otherwise known as juvenile diabetes, but did you know that adults can also have Type 1 Diabetes. There’s no cure for diabetes, so kids with type 1 diabetes will need treatment for the rest of their lives. But with proper care, they can live long, productive lives.

Team members are already planning for next year’s event.
