May 6, 2019
On May 31, Clow Canada will say congratulations and so long to Lorne Rissling who will retire after a 48-year career in Medicine Hat. On May 1, Clow Canada held a retirement dinner where they announced that the Medicine Hat facility will now be known as the Lorne J K Rissling Building and a plaque will be mounted by the front entrance to the facility.
Lorne began his career on May 7, 1971 as a grinder with Crane Canada where he acquired many other skills as an apprentice, including becoming an accomplished pattern maker using wood, metal and plastic. In 1993, Lorne became the Plant Manager and was instrumental in the transition from a foundry and machine shop to a distribution warehouse.
Lorne is liked and respected by everyone who knows him and will be greatly missed. We wish Lorne the very best in his newest adventure.
