M&H Wedgecoat Department still going strong after making 1,000,000th wedge

In August 2013, M&H Valve began rubber-coating wedges for our 6" resilient-seated gate valves. Soon after, production expanded to include sizes 2"-16"; and today, M&H supplies these rubber-coated wedges for all the McWane Valve and Hydrant divisions. In celebration of this 5-year anniversary, M&H would like to highlight an exciting accomplishment of the Wedgecoat Department from earlier this year. On March 13, 2018, the one-millionth wedge was produced at the M&H facility. Perhaps an even prouder accomplishment is that - even at the time - an overwhelming majority of those wedges were already in use in gate valves serving communities across the U.S. and around the world.
