McWane Ductile sponsors household hazardous waste collection
April 19, 2018
We've all likely had household hazardous waste at one time or another that we had no idea how to dispose of. Materials such as used motor oil, batteries, fertilizers, pesticides, spent fluorescent light bulbs, paint products, etc. To help address this problem, McWane Ductile in Provo, Utah (MDU) once again sponsored the Utah County Health Department's Household Hazardous Waste Collection that was held Saturday, April 14th,
McWane Ductile partnered with the county health department and several other co-sponsors to plan and host the event at a local mall. With the help of MDU's environmental team members and more than 200 volunteers, this year's event provided support to nearly 2,000 local households in helping them properly dispose of 80,000 pounds of household hazardous waste!
This was a great opportunity to help support the community and based on the success of this annual event, MDU plans to support this event again next year.
