McWane Represents at Foundry Educational Foundation (FEF) Conference in Chicago

On November 16-17, several team members from the Valve and Hydrant Group represented McWane at the 2017 FEF College Industry Conference in Chicago. Illinois. Representatives included John Grahek (Assistant Plant Manager) and Annie Hol (Assistant HR Manager) from Clow Valve in Oskaloosa, Iowa; Jon Pollard (Plant Manager) and Anthony Whitley (HR Manager) from Tyler Union, and Olivier Marietta (M&H Valve Plant Manager) in Anniston, Alabama.
The FEF provides resources to certified metal casting programs in order to strengthen the metal casting industry by supporting partnerships among students, educators and industry. McWane was a presenting partner and sponsor at this year’s conference. The FEF Conference serves as an educational and networking platform, covering all news and information in the Metal Casting Industry. Topics covered during the conference included policies and regulations, environmental health and safety, technical information, and other matters pertaining to the industry.
Every year they recognize students interested in the metal casting field through industry sponsors and scholarships. John Grahek, who serves on FEF’S National and Executive Board, presented the McWane Sponsored Scholarship to Zebediah Dahlke from the University of Alabama Birmingham (UAB). Pollard also serves on the FEF National Board.
