Tyler Union team members honor first responders

Tyler Union Environmental Technician Greg Reyes and Inside Sales Reps Amy Reyes and Michelle Folker wanted to honor local law enforcement and emergency personnel and show their appreciation in some way. With little resources, they decided a simple lemonade stand with cookies and brownies might work and one Saturday morning, their simple heartfelt gesture paid off more than they could ever have imagined.
Not knowing if anyone would show up, understanding that duty calls, they remained hopeful and to their delight, not only did the local public safety officials show up, they hung out with them, laughed with them and provided the children and the adults with a memorable experience.
In the end, Amy said, “We’re not sure if we gave anything back at all. Our local heroes, in true style, gave us so much more than we could ever give back and memories our children will cherish forever. It was an amazing day.”
“I want to thank the Reyes and Folker families for the lemonade stand they set up to honor all Oxford first responders and for their support of public safety. Officers deal with a lot of negativity every day and it's great to be able to spend some positive time with the community.”
